THIRTY PIRATES LOOT JUNK.

ONLY 870 TAKEN,

On arrival in Hong Kong on Friday, the master of a trading junk reported to the Police that on his way from Kweichow, white in the Surtak district, his craft was hoarded by about 20 pirates..

The pirates lined up the crew on deck, and made a systematic.search for money. Only 870, represent ing half of the proceeds of the sale of the salt, was found, by the pirátcs, the other half having been carefully hidden away.
