ABD-EL-KRIM'S MEMOIRS.

REVELATIONS OF PLOTS AGAINST FRANCE.

Abd-el-Krim, the former leader of the Riff tribes in Morocco, and now exiled in the island of Reunion, is

to contribute his memoirs to the Matin.

He will reveal some of the secrets of the European Powers policies.

The Rif chieftain, it is stated, asserts that he received offers of arms and of money to attack French Morocco during the world war, when the French were obliged to reduce their forces there to skeleton strength.

"He maintains," says the Matin, "that while the hand of Germany was in it, the eye of Moscow colla- borated in this manauvre, and there were other Powers allied with France in Europe who did not hesitate to create for us the greatest- difficulties in Africa."

Abd-el-Krim adds that his strength lay in his ability to mobilise tribes "drunken with glory" from their success against the Spanish,
