Larga Increase Over Last Year. A comparison with last year's Agures shows a very large increase in the donations to the Fund, which is due to the generous response : members of the community, both Chinese and foreign, to a circular appeal jyued before Remembrance Day. Church collections, on the other hand, amount to less than half of the amount, received last

year.

The large number of gentlemen who generously responded to the appeal circulated amongst the com- manity before the 11th November.
