LOCAL IMPORTS STILL DECLINING.
HEAVY THROUGH "TREIGHTS.
Imports of general' merchandise into the Colony as shown by the retras during the 2 hours ended nt 9 m. yesterday, were still on the Yuline while through freights manifested on the vessels passing through Hong Kong, have greatly increased.
Out of the 15 vessels which-came into part during the 24 hours ended ata.m. yesterday, only 10 steamers brought eargo for local discharge. The total tonnage discharged here amounted to 3,112 tona, of which, S tong were unloaded from 1 British vessel.
Out of these 10 vessels, only one earried a four-figure cargo--the 8.3. Biyo Mare, from Nagoya and Moji, which brought 1,142 tons.
Through freights were manifest ed on 10 vessels. The total amount earried was 24,244 tons, with 12,830 tons on 2 British vessels.
The three heaviest carriers were the ss. Jirpore, from Vladivos- tock and Shanghai, which had 5,830 tons. The Hakone Maru, from Yokohama and Shanghai, had 5,107 tons, and the Glentara, carried 4,000 tons from Shanghai.
The arrivals and departures dur- ing the period under review were: British, Arrivals and 6 depar tures: Japanese, 4 arrivals and 4 departures: Chinese, 3 arrivals: Danish, 1 departure: Dusch. 1 arrival and. 2 departures; French. I arrival: German, 1 arrival; American, arrival and 1 de parture.
Vessels in port totalled 68, of which, 26 were British.
The total number of deck passen- gers entered into the Colony was 1,7-89.

S.S. ileutora (British) from Shanghai, 4,000 tons general for} ports beyond Hong Kong.
S.S. Song Bo (French) from Haiphong and Fort Bayard. 75 tons, general for Hong Kong and 70 tons for ports.
S.S. Hupeh (British) from Amoy. in ballast.
S.S. Chip Shing (British) from Canton, in ballast.
S.S. Kakh (German) from Dai-i ren, 300 tons general for Hong: Kong and 1,300 tons for ports.

The deaths of two deck passen gers, and their burial at sen, is re- ported by the master of the ss. Fon Derrstraten which arrived from Singapore yesterday. She carried over 1,200 deck passengers.
