a.m showed only 1,878 tons imported into Hong Kong, a decrease of 14,010 tons over the previous day.
British vessels were responsible for 1,073 tons and the islance of 500 tons was contributed by the as. Bakugo Maru, from Valparaiso and Moji. The best return was registered by the s.3. Luchow, B. & S. coastal vessel from Shanghai and Antoy which brought 502 tons.
There was also a decrease of through freights of 4,035 tons as compared with the previous day's returns. The total tonunge manifested on vessels passing through llong Kong for the 2 hours ended at 9 a.m. yesterday was 10,480 tons, ef which British vessels had 3,046 tons on board. The best returns were 3.590 tons on the Italian vessel Esquilino. from Yokohama and Shanghai, and 2,400 tons co the French liner Raymond Poincare, from Haiphong. The 3.5.. Vacedonia also had 1,500 tons and the Lella, 1,346 tons

The M.M. Liner Raymond Poincaire, having experienced engine trouble after leaving Haiphong, put into Hong Kong yesterday for stores and water.
Bad weather was reported by nearly all vessels coming into Hong Kong dar ing the 4 hours ended at a am. yester day. A few hours out of Moji on the way to Hong Kong, the Japanese freighter, Bokuyo Maru, ran into a gale of cyclone force and received a severe buffeting.. High seas swept over decks, but little damage was done.
