SHIELD COMPETITION.
Playing against the Navy in the Sim Shield competition, on the United Ser- vices Recreation Club ground yesterday afternoon, the Army obtained their revenge for their defeat of last week, by winning against the Navy by 3 goals to 2 goals, after a keenly contested match.
Last week, the Navy won the first round by defeating the Army by two goals to one goal. Thus the Services are levet at-present, and their games against the. Club in the next four weeks wil}- decide the destination of the trophy
As previously stated, the Hong Kong Hockey Club meet the Navy on the next two Wednesdays, and play the Army on the following two alter that.
Y.M.0.A. Defeat Submarina “1.20." " Playing at King's Park yesterday afternoon, the European Y.M.C.A. (Kow- loon) hockey teain defeated & team from H.M. Submarine Z. 20 by 3 goals to mil. The game was an excellent one.
A Correction.
In our report of the match between the Hong Kong Hockey Club 1st XI. and the Hong Kong and Singapore Royal Artillery, in yesterday's Daily Press, we inadvertently stated that the Hockey Club lost by five goals to four. The re port should have read that Hockey Club won the match by five goals to four,
