"Fleet-street Week for Bart.'s " opened Duspiciously with a great procession, which left the Embankment and toured the City streets for about two hours be fore it returned once more to its starting point.

It is hoped to raise £20,000 for Et Bartholomew's Hospital during the week, and the idea of the procession was to create carnival atmosphere at the outset. This was certainly successfully accomplished, and as the afternoon was | fine the route was crowded with sightseers,
