THE A.D.C. SEASON.

A NOTE ON THE PLAYS.

In a previous notice of the A.D.C. Season, which commences next Saturday,

reference was made to the two plays which from the first part of the Dramatic Medley promised on this occasion. A brief note is now added on the plays in A rife match between the US. S. Huron the second half of the performance.

Now here is a play which, in itself, a win for the Huron, team by 99 points.perhaps, a slight piece, depends entirely for its success on the very competent handling of the two parts.

Twice only has the Prince been called upon to perform duties of a public and ceremonial nature and on each occasion

he has had the pleasant duty of investing HE the Governor (Sir C. Clementi,

CMG.) first with the insignia of

On the former occasion, which was a particularly impressive ceremony, it may be recalled " that the Hon. Sir Shour-son Chow, the Hon. Mr. E. R. Hallifax, Mr. George Duncan, Mr. George White, and Subadar Major Fazal Khan also received decora

tions at the Prince's hand.

It is impossible to say anything about the play without giving away its secret, which is only divulged at the last mo ment, but it is giving nothing away to way that the parts of the burglar and the Prince George will take with him the girl are taken by two such finished actors, so well-versed in character portrayal, good wishes of the whole Colony and the that the very most is made of the tense subsequent career of this modest and situation.
