"From Liverpool South branch a re- solution was moved as follows: That this meeting is of the opinion that many of the affiliations with foreign uniona are a waste of good union money, special- ly in the case of the International Tran- sport Works Federation; which has proved itself in the past to be more of political association than that of a trade union. Furthermore, that the Rain Secretary, Mr. Edo Fimmen, has been guilty of issuing manifestoes without proper executive instructions,, and the effect of such manifestoes has been to mislead the workers of all Europe. It therefore be an instruction to the Execu tive Council to withdraw forthwith from the International Transport Workers' Federation. A fex delegates spoke in- favour of retaining the amliation, but the great majority declared against it. On being put to the vote, it was 10- animously carried that the affiliation cease forthwith.
