The Hon. Mr. J. H. Kemp and the Hon. Mr. E R. Halifax, the Hongkong dela. gates to the Canton Conference, left for Canton yesterday morning. They were accompanied to the ship by the Hon. Mr. R. H. Kotewall but apparently the hour of departure was too early for a large gathering of well-wishers.
The delegates will stay at the British Consulate on Shameen. According to arrangements made the conference? will open at the Canton Foreign Office this
morning.
