While the different Clubs were endea vouring to carry out their programme of matches on Saturday and had actually started playing, a short but share shower rain fall and wet the ground sufficient ly to prevent further play The only exception was the University I.R.C match at Pokfulam which was finished after a little wait.

At the Chinese Recreation Club ground where the most important match of the day was being played, S. E. Green and EC Fincher, for Kowloon, amased those present by leading 7-0 over Yew Man Tann and Ho Ka Lau, but the Chinese side was well covered by the other two pairs, viz., Ng Sze Kwong and Ng Ste Cheung; and the Lo brothers who secured leads of 8-4 and 3 over 1.
