The week-end shipping statement pro- Huced-some-interesting comparisons with regard to the freight. carried 157 "this" and other ports. Saturday's returns showed that with one vessel less arriv ing than on the previous day there was a total decrease in freight carried of 3,573 tons, compared with the figures for the previous twenty-four hours.
