Although there was sunshine during the whole day on Saturday, the overnight rain was such that it made most of the tennis lawns unsuitable for play. No matches were played on the Kowloon and Central Courts, and the three matches that took place were played in the East- crn part of the Island.

SATURDAY'S LEAGUE results.

Several surprising results were record- od in the Lawn Bowls League games on Saturday afternoon.

Playing in the First Division, Craigen- gower C,C. defeated Taikoo, the Civil Service C.C. gained & surprising victory at the expense of the Kowloon Dock, and the Bowling Green Club secured their first win this season by defeating the Police B.C. The Police, in losing this. game, have placed themselves in a poyi. tion from which they will have to exercise great care to escape relegation to the Second Division.
