Yesterday's shipping statement show- ed that with three more vessels riving than on the previous day there was an increase in the cargo carried of 10,202 tons, compared with the figures for the previous twenty-four hours. Hongkong cargo, however, showed a very small increase, having gone up by only 808 tons; while freight for ports beyond had risen by 9,324 tons. British vessels again carried a carried a fair percentage
of the cargo.
