Fine weather favoured the third extra race meeting of the Hongkong Jockey Club held at the Happy Valley race on Saturday. In each of the seven races the "fields" were good, and the whole programme was carried out smoothly. The cash sweeps were slightly below normal.
Mr. T. V. Doyle took the jockey racing Honours. He rode three firats for Mesars, Hall and Shenton, and a first for Mr. E. M. Austin. Messrs. Hall and Shenton also had another winner, ridden by Mr.
RAILWAY Ralph.

This was a fine race from start to finish. At the beginning Invader got away but was challenged by Tutix. After rounding the last bend five ponies ran level, but Invader and Tutir again got ahead. A tremendous tussle followed. At the dis tance post Invader was alightly in front, but Tutix just got ahead as the winning post was reached. The Gowk was third, and Rechabite fourth."

The winner was a hot favourite in this race. At the start John Smith took the fead, Reynolds second and Grey Streak third. Going up the incline the fold closed up, and Gomeril forged ahead at the entrance to the straight, and won, Joha Smith ran a good second.
