SHIPPING NOTES.

Captain J. Richards, the aster of the 8.3. Ninking (China Navigation Co.) reported to the Harbour Office yester- day that on Thursday afternoon while on his way to Hongkong from Amor he sighted n snall derlict junk in Latitude 2.0 N. Longitude" 114.401 E., about nine miles off Single Island. A boat was lowered from the Sin kiany and three Chinese were "resented from the junk, which is waterlogged and dangerous to navigation.

The total number of deek passenzers entered for the twenty-four hours ended at 9 n.m. yesterday was 200, of which the biggest entry was 65.

At the Marine Court yesterday, he 'fore Limut.-Commander G. F. Hole, R.N..otmistress was fined 95, with the alternative of five days' 'Eard labour, "for causing an obstruction at the Hong-

kong Yaunati Ferry wharf.
