The R. M.S. Epres of Asia which frit Hongkong on April 30th. arrived at Vancouver on May 17th,
HONGKONG SHIPPING. While yesterday's shipping statement abowed an increas regarded. the total freight entered, to the extent of 6,317 tons on the preceding twenty-four bours, the cargo for Hongkong had de erensed by no less than 9,577 tons. The increase was entirely on freight for other ports, which had gone up by 17,804 tons compared with the previous twenty-four bours.
Ata.m. yesterday there were 56 vansels in the Barbour, of which 20 were British Thirteen vessels arrived during the previous twenty-four hours, cis- five British. four Japanese and four Chinese.
