The CHAIRMAN said:-Gentlemen,-We have now the pleasure to lay before you the Report and Accounts for the year ending 31st December, 1925, and as these have been in your hands for the required period I will, with your consent, take them as read.

The results of the working of our different Departments are, we think, de sidedly encouraging and we feel that the Company has a very promising future

before it.

To meet Marine risks taken in 1934 but payable subsequently a rezerva of $62,932.21 (being 60 per cent, of the pre- mium income for 1994) was carried for ward to 1925, to provide which a loss of $53,878,60 had to be shown on Frost and Loss Account in respect of Marine

The China Agencies have naturally been somewhat handicapped by the dis turbances during the past nine months.

It these Agencies are as soundly estab- Eshed as they appear to be we do not: think you need feel anxiety as to the cost of their establishment.

The total outstanding Premia as shown to the balance "sheet・ amounts in 294,9938. I am pleased to say that of this amount $80,290.25 has already been collected, which is very satisfactory.

I now beg to propose that the Report and Accounts for 1923 as presented, be adopted and passed and when that has been seconded I shall be pleased to an- swer any questions that shareholders xay
