There have been excellent additions to the technical and fiction library and the Hon. Librarian invites members' atten- tion to the fact that 'this department was originally founded, and for some time maintained, solely by books presented by members, and he again makes his appealed by cable the following rubber prices for more hearty asistance in this direction.
The bad times are held responsible for "the fact that the books in circulation showed some réduction last year, being 9,150 against 10,060 in 1924.
BILLIARDS..
Reference is made. in the report to the visit of the famous billiards player, H. J. Stephenson, and to the plucky defence of Mr. J. B. Hamilton in their game. Five billiards handicaps are reported to. have been in progress, the abnormal con- ditions during the latter part of the year having delayed completion of all competitiona.
FINANCE.
The result of the year's working shows not proht of 84,084.60 against 87,946.56 for 1994, which may be considered satis factory in view of the abnormal condi tions which existed during the latter half. of the year.
The officers thank all members who unselfiably devoted their valuable time towards maintaining essential services on the premises during the period of the Strike when they were without their staff of servants.
