As will be seen from the letters pub- Kished below an appeal has been lodged j with H.E the Governor in Council asking for a declaration that the Sanitary Board Election on Monday shall be void,
The appeal is made by Messrs. Leo D'Almada & Nephew who are acting for Dr. Ozorio and his proposer and seconder and also on behalf of a number of electors who were present at the Registry and were unable to vote.

The death occurred at the Kowloon Hospital early yesterday morning of Mr. AW. J. Hoy, the Resident Engineer of Holt's Wharf, Kowloon, at the age of 36. Deceased was in good health until about a week ago when he contracted a chill, which later developed into paeu- monia. He was admitted to the Kowloon Hospital on Friday.

The following is the letter from Messrs. D'Almada & Nephew to the Colonial Secretary, embodying an appeal to H.E.

SI-Acting on instructions from Dr.

A. da Roza, the candidate, proposer and seconder respectively at an election of a member to serve on the Sanitary Board which took place on Monday, the 19th instant, pur- suant to Notification No, 153 of the Government Gazette of the 10th March last, we have the honour to lodge an ap- peal to His Excellency the Governor in Council claiming, inter alin, for a De- elaration, by the Governor in Council that the said election was void at Common" Law or under Schedule C of Ordinance No 1 of 1903.

SEQUEL TO SEIZURE IN HARBOUR.
