A feature of the cargo entries was that cargo for Hongkong nearly doubled that entered for porte beyond. Of the cargo brought for this port, 16,838) tens was carried in British vessels with 1,248 tons in the two vessels of other nation- alities. Of the cargo for portar beyond, No.ali was carried in British vessels.

heaviest entry of cargo for Hongkong was 4,173 tons of coal, with the next best bring 3,988 tons of rice and general cargo. There were four other four figure entries made, three by British reassis and one by a Japanese arrival. Of the cargo for ports beyond, there was only one four figure entry, this being one of 5,000 tons.

At the Marine Court yesterday, before Lieut. Commander G. F. Hole, B.N., a boutmistress was fined $5, with the alter- native of five days' hard labour, for allowing her boat to lis outside of five other cargo boats alongside the Tenn.

At the same Court, the master of the steam launch Tai Yik Yee was brought

for failing to produce his steam launch licence when called upon by the police to do so. He pleaded not guilty. Evidenco WCB given Lanco-Sergeant Bradsell that on Sunday, March 28th, he asked the defendant, for his coxs- wain's, engineer's and steem-launch licenses. Defendant failed to produce the launch licence and told him it was at the Harbour Office.
