The master of the s.5. Tenyo Mare (Japanese) from San Francisco and Yokohama reports that, during the voyage to Hongkong a steward disappeared.

At the Marine Court yesterday, before Lieut.-Commander. G. F. Hole, R.N., the masters of the steam-launches Hop Wal and Hop Sang and the master of motor. boat Tabaquer were each fined 28, with the alternative of five days' band labour, for failing to observe the rule of the road.

Falemachus and the a.a. llop Sony, res- pectively, outside of two other launches.

The master of the motor-boát IFó Lee was also fined $, or seven days' bard labour in default, for carrying seven passengers in excess of the number allow by his licence, and was, fined $15, with the alternative of two weeks hard labour, for failing to exhibit regulation lights.
