Glorious weather favoured the third day of the annual race-meeting, held at Happy Valley yesterday.

It being Ladies' Day (in addition to Champions day) there was a very large attendance in fact both enclosures were uncomfortably crowded at times,

Loch Rannock carried most of the money, bat could get no nearer than fourth. The first two places fell to ponies from the Dunbar and Stanton stables, while Demon Boy obtained third money.

To a good start, Saligia and Sunbeam Dahlin set the pace, with Glorious Dahlia and Local Option just behind. At the & furlong pest, Saligia was clear of the feld, but was soon caught by Local Option. The latter reached the crest of the hill fret and thence maintained the lead to win by 3 lengths from Glorious Dahlia, with Grey Morn (who came with a rattle from the distance post) a fair third in front of King of Troy.
