́ ́ There will be yachting both to-day and to-morrow at the Royal Hongkong Yacht Club.
To-day there is a race for the winhera in the racing yacht classes for the "Tai at Cup," the course for which is to be Lyemun Beacon, Kowloon Rock, Mark on Line and from there to Kowicon Rock and Lyamun Beacon with the finish at the Yacht Club. The distance is 12.5 miles
Tomorrow the cruisers will be out again and will participate in their fifth and last championship race. The course for this event is to Datum Rock and from there to Stonecutters' Island, Mark on Line, and return to Channel' ́Rocks, Axishing at the Club, a distance of 24) miles.

NAVY RECEIVE SIM" SHIELD.
At the conclusion of the final match in the "Sim "Shield competition between the Hongkong Hockey Club and the Army at the U.S.R.C.. ground yesterday evening, the winners of this shield this season. the Navy, were presented with the trophy.
The presentation of the thield to the team was made by Mrs. LG. Bird; who warmly congratulated the Navy on thei success in the competition.
The Navy secured 7 points out of a possible 8 in the competition, the Army. being second with 4 points and the Hong- kng Hockey Club third with one point. The Clüb have had some bad luck while playing in this competition, having lost three matches and drawn one.
The game between the Club and the Army yesterday' was drawn, the score being three goals all.

NAVAL TOURNAMENT.
The China Squadron boxing tourna- ment will take place at the Murray Barracks, on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, next week. There are com petitions for novices, officers, and cham- pions. Some good bouts should be seen in the championships. Much interest will be taken in these events, since the Hongkong Boxing Association, are seek ing for good men for the next tournament which takes place next month."
