ALLEGED STOLEN RECEIPT, CHINESE NAVAL OFFICER CHARGED.
At the Central Magistracy yesterday afternoon, before Mr. R. E. Lindsell,. Ip Tsze Yine, aged 30, an officer in the Chinese Navy, was charged with receiving deposit receipt of the value of $7,000, the property of Chan Lop Ko, knowing it to have been stolen prosecuted, and

The Manager of the Sincere Company said that the original receipt was handed to him by the Treasurer of the banking, department and when he saw accused he asked him where he got the receipt from. The accused repted that a friend bad given it to him.
Witness further stated that the receipt had been lost and" a new one issued. Witness told accused that if he wanted to demand payment on the receipt he must hold him for further investigation: Accused seemed to get frightened, and went on his knees, and asked to be allow ed to go.
