His Majesty the King, upon the recommendation of the Board of Trade has awarded gold medals for gallantry in saving life at ses to twenty of the President Roosevelt's crew, including posthumous awards to the two men drowned. The Board has also awarded pieces of plate to Capt. Fried and three officers, whilst Licyds have awarded their silver medal to the latter four and their bronze medal to the crews of the rescuing boats.
