The master of the & Shansi (British) from Shanghai, has reported to the Har- bour Office that during the voyage to Hongkong, a derelict junk was passed three miles North of Pedro Blanco.

According to 22 report made to the Harbour Office yesterday, the a Halcurd (British) which arrived from Haiphong, went aground in the dredged channel in the Elaiphong river at 11.5 at 9.35 p.m. the same day. The report states that the Halvard received no

The shipping statement

for "yester- day showed 65 vessels in the harbour atam, of which 37 were British.

Six vessels arrived during the twenty- four hours ended at 9 a.m.yesterlaj three British, one French, one Spanish and ono Chinese. Five of the six vessels were from coast ports: The. departures over the same period "came to eight-six for coast ports, ---with one clearance.

A Notice in the Harbour Office regard-. ing the Indo-China steamer 8.3. Tung shing (which, was supk off Black Point, in the Yangtze River, last week, follow- ing collision with the R.M.S. Empress of drin) rends.-The Tungshing lies sunk near Huangpu, 'Black Point. The wreck is marked with a green flag by day and with a green light over a white light by night, Vessels navigating in the vicinity should proceed with caution.'

The BALS. Empress of Australia pras needed to Taikoo Dock yesterday to undergo the annual overhaul, taking the place in dock of the RM.S. Empress of Canada, which proceeded to her wharf at Kowloon yesterday morning in readiness for sailing for Vancouver rid Shanghai and Japan ports on Friday,
