HONGKONG SHIPPING.

The shipping statement for yesterday showed that the total number of vessels in the harbour at 9 am, was 79, of which 33 were British.

The arrivals for the twenty-four hours ended at 9am. yesterday number- ed ton, riz.-four British," one Italian, one American, one Dutch, one" Japaneso and two Chinese. The departures for the same period came to sovén, ančluding three vessels for coast ports and thers were also two over the same period.,

Of the cargo entered for Hongkong, 2,711 tous were carried by British vessels, but the largest entry was by a Dutch vessel, with 5,183 tons of oil; while the next best entry was by a Japancer essel with 3,000 tous of coal. One British vessel entered 2,000 tons o: general cargo and an American vessel 1,550 tons. Deck passengers carried for the above period totalled 22.

Auteur (British) from Taku Bar and Shanghai with one ton of general cargo and mail; the as Equiling (Italian) from Tricate with 200 tens of general cargo and mail; the Liberator (American) from New Orleans and Shanghai with 18 tons of case oil and general cargo; the a.s. Silvius (Dutch) from Balikpapan and Manila with 5.183 tons of bulk oil, 810 tons of bulk benzine) and 504 bugs of pottery, the”, 8.3, Mandana Maru (Japanese) from Osaka and Milke with 5,000 tons general cargɔ; the 3.8. Sun Kong (Chinese) from Kwagg Chow Wan with 950 tons of general cargo and the ss. Chang Hing (Chinese) with iso tras of general cargo.

Later arrivals, too late for entry in the above returns, included the gs. Fing chor (British) from Shanghai with general cargo and mail.
