The Takada arrived yesterday morning over two days behind her scheduled time. This delay was caused by the strong monsoon she had to face on the way to Hongkong from Singapore. The Takuda brought the English and Continental mail of London, November 19th.
The Dollar Line as President an Buren, which left Hongkong yester day for Manila in continuance of her round-the-world trip, was booked up. The demand for passages to European porta from Hongkong exceeded the ac commolation, and consequently, a num ber of applications had to be turned down
