Mr. R. V. Dent, formerly of Dent & Co., Shanghai, who was adjudged bankrupt in August, 1923, successfully applied for his discharge at H.M. Supreme Court, Shang- hai, on the 8th inst. The set liabilities of the company on its failure in 1923 amounted to Tis 706,908.

In answer to Judge Sir Skinner Turner, Mr. A. C. Holborrow, for Mr. Dent, xaid that no creditors were present, and fr. McLure, the trustee, raised no objections to the application.
