DOCKING OF THE EMPRESS " LINERS.

After discharging her passengers and cargo yesterday, following her arrival from Manila, the B.M.S. Empress of

proceeded to the Hongkong and Whampoa Dock for the purpose of under- going the annual overhaul which is car- Fied out on all the Empress liners She Wares heat this time of the year. Hongkong again for Vancouver January 7th.

OIL

The R.M.S. Empress of l'onde, which Iras Hongkong for Manila on December 18th, arriving there on December 20th, will to the next vessel to undergo the overhaul and will proceed to Taikoo Dock on the day of her arrival here from Manila. She will sail for Vanenuver, following repairs, on January 22nd.
