DEATH OF QUEEN ALEXANDRA. HONGKONG'S CONDOLENCES. TRIBUTES FROM THE COUNCILS.

The members of the Executive and Legislative Councils met yesterday morn ing, in the Council Chamber for the pur. pose of passing a resolution of sympathy with Their Majesties and the members of the Royal Family in their recent bereavement.

CANTON DELEGATES. STAY IN HONGKONG EXTENDED.

It was anticipated that the Canton delegates would return to Canton early this week, but owing to the many accial anctions which have been arranged in their honour, their stay has been extend ed, and their conferences are not expect ed to conclude for a few days. Maanwhile a very hopeful feeling prevails that these conferences will have a happy, issue.
