The Civilians opened very strongly and soon were three up. The first gonḥenma: from a shot by Suen, who during a scramble in front of the Services' goal sent in a fast shot, Gosano just getting his head to it and deflecting it past Wavish.
From the centre kick the Civilians took up the attack and the ball was again in the net, Suen Kum Shun beat- ing Wavish The South China player added the third, taking a forward pasa from Gosano.
The Services forwards could not get working, the Civilians half back line playing a great game. Their first goal came from Humberstone who beat Rodger with a fast shot from close range.

A scramble in front of the Civilisar' goal then took place and Wrane brought reliez by sending well up the field. Rodger saved well from Charlesworth, Butler and Macklesworth; and the Services had. hard luck in not betting on more than two occasions..

The Indian section of the St. John Ambulance Brigade accepted a challenge from the Kowloon detachment (winners in swimming at the recent meeting) and travelled yesterday to meet them at ax. sociation football.

The game was played on the Kowloon Football Club ground at 10.30 h. and at half-time the Indians fed by two goals to ai in the second-half, the Indians added three more 'goals,. Kowloon being able only once to find the net. The game thus cnded in a win for the Indian sec tion by five goals to one.
It is understood that Kowloon intends. to tackle the Indians again in a game of cricket, the date and ground not hav ing been definitely decided as yet..
HOCKEY.
CLUB SUBMARINES.
Oo the U.S.R.C. ground, Kowloon, on Tuesday evening, the Submarine Flotilla deleated the Hongkong Hockey Club 2nd- XI. by 5 goals to 3.
At half-time the score was one all, the Submarines having scored first through Kingad Vallack equalising for the Club Boon after the resumption, the sailors took the lead through Armstrong, bat Lammert for the Club equalised. After that the sailors could not be held and scored through Slade, Majendie and Hill Lambert scored a third goal: for his side.
On the U.S.B.C ground, Kowloon, yesterday afternoon 8 hockey match was played between the Hongkong Hockey Club and the Royal Navy.
Both sides were below strength and the game huffered somewhat in consequence, The Hockey Club eventually won by goals to one,

FIRST TOURNAMENT. ON NOVEMBER 21ST.
The Hongkong Boxing Association will open their season on Saturday week (November 21st) when a first class tourna meat has been arranged and some good boxing should be seen.
