The following notice to mariners has been issued by the Marine Department of the Maritim Clusters at Shanghai under date of October 27th:-
Noti is hereby given that the Taluiao Light, approach to Yalu River, will not be exhibited during the winter when the Talu River is closed by ice. Commencing this year, the Talutno Light will be extinguished on the 15 Decem- ber.'

The shipping statemens for yesterday ahowed that the total number of vessels in the harbour at 9 am, was 76, of which 41 were British.
For the twenty-four hours ended at 8: 1.15. Jesterday there were eight arrivals, of which four were British, one French, one Dutch, one 'Japanese anil one Chin- ese. The departures for the same period numbered eleveng while seven vessels had paper in for clearance yesterday.
The arrivals were the s Sunning (Br.) from Shanghai and Swatow with 613 tons of general cargo, aeroplane spirit, and "mail: the . Anking (Br.) from Singapore and Amoy with 200 tons of firewood and general cargo and mail; the sa Lok Sun (Br.) From Hoihow with 100 tons of general cargo and mail; the s. City of Glasgow (Br.) from Balti more and Iloilo with 230 tons of general cargo; the .. Jade (French) from Fort Bayard with 300 tons of miscellaneous cargo; the as Oostkerk (Dutch) with a through cargo; the s.s.
