The Craigengower C.C., playing at home lost to a team from the. H.M.S. Harkius. The home sida were dismissed for 97 ruuN. One of the Naval play- ers, Lieut. Halsey scored exactly that number of his own bat. He drove to the boundary or no less than 18 occasions. He also did well in bowling, taking e wickets for 18 runs. La-Col. Cantrell took 4 for 47.

On the Chinese Recreation ground, -the home team drew with the Royal Engine- ers. Capt. Bridgeland, with 43 runs, was the highest scorer.

·SATURDAY'S CHAMPIONSHIP

RACES.

The first of the season's championship races was held on Saturday, when L boals turned out. All the Handicap class started six Heyward Hays and seven Gaels and one Designs racing 45. one class.

The course was from the Club to Lyenun Beacon, Cust Rock Buoy, Channel Rocks, and finish at the Club line. The distance was eight miles and a halt. There was a light westerly wind at the start, which gradually grow lighter as the bosts neared. Lyemun. Just before the Beacon it calmed and the first boat, just drilted round. It was poor until Quarry Bay was reached on the way back, but later blew fresh from the west, and the finish was made in a very good breeze."

Falcon, by virtue of hanging up to the Hongkong store and gettting the art of the freshening wind, scored her first win in the class Diana," first home, taking third place and Dorothea second.

Boujam, Inst season's champion boat in the Heyward Hays class, won the first race of the season, followed by Bluenose and Adome.

The Lee Sing, champion also, last year, won in the mixed One Design and Gael'class.

Gladys had bad luck in, touching th Cust Rock Buoy and had to retire from the race.
