A pretty and well attended wedding which attracted much local interest, was solemnised nt, St. Joha's Cathedral en Saturday, afternoon, "when the marriage af Mr. Nowell Bernard White, son of Mrs Roar White, to Miss Pearl Clifford Thompson, daughter of the late Mr. Richard Thompson, and of Mrs. 8. Thompson, Philadelphia, took place.

The bridegroom is well known and popular in the Colony, being now the Manager of Mac's Cafeteria at the Hong- kang Hotel; while the of his brothers, Mr. Herman White is Manager at the Hongkong Hotel

The wedding was to have taken place on Thursday afternoon but owing to the Empress of Austrain, on which the bride was travelling not reaching Hong. kong until Friday morning, the wedding had to be postponed a couple days.
