What was evidently a submarine dis turbance of an unusual nature wis observed by Captain Donoghite, master of the Bowes Castic, off the coast of North Borneo on Saturday evening. April 25th, and the early hours of Sunday morning

Donoghue made a report to the part authorities when the Bowes Castle arrived at Singapore from Hongkong on April 27th, in the course of which he stated that on Saturday he observed a low candy patch in the position latitude 49:20 North, longitude 119° 18's East, and birds were resting on the patch...
