The last cabled quotation from London for rubber is 1/9, but there is nothing doing in rubber shares locally...
Banks-Hongkong & Shanghai Banks show no change either here or at home, and are steady locally at $1,200 which price a few shares have changed hands.
Marine and Fire Insurances-Cantons continue in demand at $7371 without attracting sell. Unions have been dealt in to a small extent at $279. Yang- tes have buyers at $45, but no sales have been reported locally, China Under! writers are enquired for at $2.80 after saira Hongkong Fires are wanted at $858 and China Fires at $200.
