K. schedule, how- ever, is the shortening of the duration of voyage, as the ruaning time of steamers from Hongkong to Marseilles will be made within 29 days, instead of 31 days as at present, This lessening by two days of the run will be done at much addition- al expense,

but the Company feels that it must be done, irrespective of expense in order to satisfy the popular demand these days for fast mail, passenger and freight services.

The new schedule will commence with the 8.8. Hakone Jara to sail hence on Saturday the 25th., April. Thereafter the sailings will be every fortnight.
