There is nothing complex about The Little Church Around the Corner, the notable film now showing at the Coronet, Theatre. The appeal goes straight to the heart. This aut not be taken to mean, All broken, chafed and damaged Packages are however, that the picture lacks variety of incidents. Far from that. The emo-examined on the 18th March, 1925, at 10 tions it portrays are simple-theme- tions of love and hate and greed ad pride: but the incidents depicted lack nothing in dramatic interest.
THE WORLD THEATRE
One of the fast purely romantic films. ever produced is Koenigsmark" which is showing at the World Theatre for the second tim te-day. In spite of its Teutonic, name this super-feature is a French creation. Based on a story of one of the finest writers of modern romantic fiction. Pierre Benoit, pro duced with all the Enesse and deftness of touch of which the French producers ate masters, and supported by an excellent) cust, it is a perfect example of the romantic school.

"QUEEN'S THEATRE.
Hongkong will soon have the opportu nity of seeing some feats which are said to outrival those performed by the cele- brated Houdini. The exponent is. Mr. Murray, the young and brilliant hand- enff manipulator, and he is bookei to appear at the Queen's Theatre, begin. ning to-morrow. Mr. Murray defies any attempts to restrain him, whether by shackles, locks and bolts for more than Tew seconds. One of his feats is known as the "Five Thousand Dollars Mystery," which consists in his escape from a.trunk. with steel fixinga, in which he is not merely locked, but also shackled and bound and otherwise incapacitated ac cording to the fancy of the audience.
Dorothy Gish is doing a Spanish dance at the Queen's Theatre this week the Richard Barthelmess picture, The Bright Shawl." that is one of the inost delightful features of this fascinat ing romaner of the days of Spanish) domination in Cuba,

THE STAR THEATER, Showing at the Star Theatre for the Inst time this evening is "The Heart Line," picture which introduces the mysteries of the occult.
Based on popular novel and Simed with full re- gard for dis dramatic possibilities "The Heart Line," although it makes no claim to rank among the masterpieces of the screen, represents an excellent entertain ment for cinema-goers who enjoy the note of mystery. It is described by the pro- ducers, the Leah Baird Film Corpora tivo as a clean, wholesonte, vital story," Miss Leah Baird plays the leading role with great finesse, and she is ably second- ed by a good cast.
Tomorrow night the Star will add a further chapter to its history as a variety theatre, presenting this time the Quarry Bay A.D.'s production of "Nothing but the Truth."
"Nothing but to Truth" was well- received at the Taikoo Club, so that Kow- loop amusement-seekery can rely upon" a very enjoyable evening. The play abounds in amusing situations.?
