The concluding day of the anaual race meeting was as brimful of surprises as the keenest race-goer vould desire..
In the first event King Canute, an odda on favourite, got home by a bare hali length from Quab with Scarecrow a head away and Jimmy Lad, the same distance, fourth.
In the second event, the Judge failed to separate Grey Cloud and Gypsy Love. who finished two lengths in front of Per- sian Parrot, with Winners henter out of a place by a head.
Gold Leaf earried Mr. Harriman to vie- tory in the All Out Stakes, rëturning 89.20 on the winning ticket.
In the Tytan Handicap "A alasa, the lightly weighted Farran 11. well rid den by Mr. Buck, beat King Polery, a red hot favourite, with Tadworth, second choice, third. The twenty hackers of Parran II received $319.50 un each ticket.
For the Hongkong Handicap "A" class, Mystic Dahlia, King of the Pirins. Saracen and Spotted Sand wefe the pub- lic choices in the order named. McKenzie made the runing to the straight, where Mystic Dahlia drew on terms and n tre- mendous struggle resulted in the "second dead heat of the day.
Wimmera was third 1 lengths away, a short head in frout of Arabia, Parrot.
For the Tyam Handicap "B" class. Quah was a firm favourite, but was handily defeated by A.B. who returned his supporters $15.20.
The Hongkong Handicap "B" class produced another sensational finish, be- tween Primrose Leaf, Golden Chrysanthe- mum and Persian Parrot, the verdict being two short heads. It was a really fne finish and until the numbers went up,
it was impossible for the public certain what the final order was.

The ninth event gave Sir Paul Chater dis second victory of the day. when Magnificent Dahlin, after nearly being shus at the top hend, came through his horses to defeat the little-fancied Duke of Frisco by 1 lengths, with Fern Leni, who led for six furlongs, third.
For the penultimate event. Beldorney Star was made favourite (465), New York (413) Deveron Star (331), Zircon (3) Uncle. Tum (3) being others fancied The winner turned up in Deveron Star, who defeated Holly by half a length, with Unele Tam, the same distance away, third. Zircon was a good fourth,
In the final event, Phenomenal Dahlia carried 8 tickets, RaySold $15 and Hailsham 307. They finished in the arder named, the Dahlia pony winning by some eight lengths.
