The Marine Underwriters' Association of Australia has recently adopted clause to apply to all shipments covered against pilferage and theft. The clause read as under, and special attention maybe directed to the condition that claims must be made within ten days of steamer's discharge:
In consideration of an additional premium as arranged, it is hereby agreed that this policy covers the risk of theft eulo pilferage irrespective of percentage; but the Company's liability in respect of any goods so lost is not to exceed their shipping or in- sured value, whichever is the smaller. No liability for loss to attach hereto unless notice of survey has been given to the Company's Agents within 10 days after completion of discharge of the vessel's enrgo.
