THE LEAGUE

The Scottish Lugue fixtures were of the commonpince order, and in some of the games a slackening of effort on the part of the players was perceptible. The rivals for the championship, Rangers aad Airdrieonians, were set what were gene- rally looked upon as fairly easy propo sitions in being asked to dispose of Motherwell and Cowdenbeath, though had the venues been. different there would, not have been the same confidence as to the results.
