GROUNDS OF APPEAL.
The first ground put forward is that the Court wrongly assumed that the onus

I fail to see how the first of these points is material. No demand for the duty was made, and it was not urged in the Court below, as to the rest the Court held on the evidence before it that the complainant bad certain powers. That is & binding of fact and cannot be question ed in, this Court which only deals with law, if there was evidence to support it and there was "such.

Coming to China in 1800, Mr. Grundy was soon & prominent figure in the city's busi- ness and sporting circles. He was a men- ber of the various clubs, very keenly in- terested in the S.V.C., and was also a member of the Amateur Dramatic Club. The greatest sympathy will be felt for Mrs. Grundy in her sudden bereavement. She did not accompany her husband to England, and was keenly anticipating his return to Shanghai
