1 H.M.S. Tamar 0- On the Garrison ground at Sookurpód yesterday the RA beat the Tamar by a goal to nil in the Hongkong Lengue. R.A. won the toss and Cowley set the hall rolling. The R.A. were early attacking but Harris ended a run down the wing For a time play by shooting behind. settled in midfield until Hemsworth reg ceived, and racing away, tested Wavish with a fast low shot. The R.A. again got down and Prior, being pressed, passed the ball back for Wavish, but Harris, nipping in, secured it and scored from close range. The Sailors tried hard to wipe off this deficit, but the interval found them a goal down.
Resuming, the Tamar went all out to level up, and Dobson was lucky to tip the ball over the bar from a free kick by Butcher. Play was very fast and in favour of the sailors, but the R.A de- fence held out and the final whistle sounded with the Gunners winners by the only goal scored.

CHINESE KILLED BY CAR. TWO MOTOR MISHAPS IN NEW TERRITORIES.
Mr. B. E Atwell, of the Asiatic Petro- leum Company, had the misfortune to cause the death of a Chinese on Sunday. afternoon, while motoring in the New. Territories
When the car was approaching Castle Peak, a Chinese apparently got suddenly in front of the machine. Mr. Atwell; who was driving, immediately swerved, but too late to avoid a collision... One of the car's lampa struck the man's head with great force, and he died in a few minutes.. The motoring party did all they could, and finally summoned the police, who had the body conveyed to Kowloon Mortuary.
...
Two cars, one carrying a party of Europeans, and another with a load of Chinese passengers, collided on the Taipo Road on Sunday afternoon. The injured only numbered two. (Mr. Eustace and Mrs. Elliot), who sustained cats and sprains, but neither was seriously hurt The cars were both so badly damaged that they had to bo towed back to Kow- loon.
