THE EMPIRE EXHIBITION. HONGKONG'S PAVILION.
A recent broadsheet issued by the Publicity Department of the Empire Exhibition says:-
It is not only in large wholesale orders that the exhibitors and parilion holders have made their great successes at Wem- bley. In retail sales alone the Hongkong Pavilion has taken over £30,000, and this is for the sale of merely small things, such as baskets, ivory ornaments, Chinese silks and slippers. Some days as much as £700 or £800 worth of these small, sou- venirs have been sold, and when it is re- membered that the baskets and other it articles on sale are a very low price, is obvious that an almost continuous stream of purchasers passes through the Hongkong Street.
'It is interesting to note that several hundred people have eaten the £5 dinner which is served in the Rongkong res
taurant.

THE CORONET. Transforming a spoken play into mov- ing pictures is a strange task; the task of translating words into pantomime.. This is the astounding Fent Clarence L Brown bas achieved in "The Acquittal," new Universal super-Jewel mystery play, to be screened at the Coronet Theatre this evening, when he took the proceeds ings in a murder trial, witness after, witness, transisting spoken evidence into pictured action without the use of explan. story titles. Altogether it is claimed. that "The Acquittal " has a story, a cast and a setting which hold the interest from the very ontset."

The Day of the Knight is Here!
IT IS THE
WILLYS-KNIGHT
Simplest and most trouble-free type of motor ever invented.
It has the most disinctive and gracefully balanced body of any car
in the market.
1-The Willys-Knight car is the four cylinder motored car that makes the six
DARÉCESSAry.
The Knight motor is steam prinsipis. The valves are two cylindrical sleeves with rectangular alots or poris which when they register with each other and the ports in the block allow the ingress and ogroms of the gasss without obstruction. These wide open passages, particularly, on the exhaust sida, permit a more thorough cleaning of the burnt gases from the combustion chamber than any other type of inator, so that evmy ounce of energy available is utilized from the explosive mixture, which gives us such tremendous power
2-It has no valve to grind and no carbon to cleaz,
The combustion chamber is ompletely surrounded by, water aud na aller piston noted for its great hea radiating qualities is used so neither the combustion chamber nor the head of tre" pirtan gets hot enough to bake the residue from the exposed grecs to form carbon while there is still enough heat maislained to handle the explosive. mixture effectively.
L-It is the only type of motor that improves with use.
While carbon can not form in the combustion chamber, still a certain simenat of the residue from this buzzad gases works up behind the wide scaling ring in the cylinder head and, as this building in process obtains, it keeps pusking this sesling ring more tightly against the inner albore mutil it completary senle the cumpression chambar Arealoping more power with ovary mile the motor is drawn.
4.
-It is the only type of motor that wears in while other wears out.
All parts in the Willys-Kright car aros szsembled with wide clearance betwom each other and oil is forced into those clearances under heavy presetre so that the entire assembly is tapping or waaring in on these hoary films of oil instead of wearing ont. In other words, every bearing in this motor is an el bonzing instead of a mežní to metal bearing which is necessary in the construction of a poppet valve motos, in order to keep fi quiet with subsequiant quick war and noise. p
#-- It has eliminated one hundred and sixty two quick wearing parts macamry in the operation of a sylindered poppet valve motor. There are un hammering parts such as cama striking against push roda, pash rods against valve stenis, or valva honda anayying back into their seats through the medium of hary springs, etc.
