On Saturday "the Chinese YMCA. held their 16th annual sports at Happy Valley. Thanks to the splendid work piat. in by Mr. A. E. Dome, as head of the Physical Department of the Y. M.C.A.,, thu sports were an unqualided success. of the principal events of the afternion was a keenly contested Volley-ball game between the Pui Ching College. Canton, and Queen's College, Hongkong. The game reulted in a draw.'

It is stated that the annual membership, campaign of the Hongkong Chinese Y.M.C.A., which ended a fortnight ago, shows fair results. The attendance was not very satisfac tory owing no doubt to the fact that the Association's dual athletic meeting took place at the Race Course that after noon. The audience, however, was very appreciative and enthusiastie.

Classical pieces, including a Bouree by Bach-Saint-Saens, Bluck-Brithurs gavotte, Beethoven's moonlight sonata, and three selections from Chopin: (the Military Polonaise, Nocturne No, a, and Valse No. 1). Rachmaninoff's Prelude sti C. Sharp, Moszkovsky's Sorenata, Grainger's Country Gardens," Liszt's second Hungarian Rhapsody, and Aren xky's Ende un Shai-in-fah, were al play with that perfect technique and execution which we have learnt to as sociate with Mr. Harry Ore's work. The Chinese tune, Shui-sin-fah," was greet ed with specially enthusiastic applause.

The Chirueter Sketches by Mr. Charles Olive were highly appreciated and great by applauded.

At the conclusion the chairman thank ed the two gentlemen who had so kindly provided the concert."
