INDIAN ARMY OFFICERS.

LONDON, March 31st.

In the Hour of Commons to-day, Sir Philip Sassoon (L.) drew attention to the great anxiety among "British officers of the, Indian Army with regard to the future of their service and their future prospects in it and asked for an assur ance that no changes would be made the establishment or administration of the Indian Army adversely affecting their beareers, or if such changes were made ade quate compensation would be given them for any resultant loss of employment or opportunity for the advancement of pens

ions.

Mr. Richards exproved the opinion that the present conditions did not occasion any such ankiety' as Sir Philip Sassoon

· had referred to He was unable to give an araner with regard to the contin

ney which in any case was remote. The officers affected by ront reductions in the lulian Army had been liberally terat

d. and if similar measures were found | necessary in the future, he imagined that Government would carry them out in a similar spirit.

Mr. Wardlaw Milne (C.) declared that the talent that there was no eave for anxiety on the part of British officers was extraordinary. (Oppsition cheers)

HOW TO GET GOOD SERVICE FROM

MICHELIN TYRES.

Keep tyres pumped up to correct pressure for the load they have to carry. We can tell you what this should be.

When tyres are under inflated there is continual internal friction between the foundation cord and the rubber, causing overheating of the tyre, and consequent rapid deterioration

Water can also enter causing rust, resulting eventually in the rims having sharp edges which cut the walls of the tyre near the bead.

Most cars in Hongkong run on under inflated tyres with the above disastrous results. Have your wheels examined front and rear for trueness and tracking alignment. It they are at fault in this respect the tread of the cover is subject to a grinding action which quickly destroys the cover...

Keep tyres free from oil and grease.

Start and stop gently and take comers slowly,

Lastly buy MICHELIN tyres from us and follow the above advice and

tyre satisfaction is assured.
