The Day of the Knight is Here!

IT IS THE

WILLYS KNIGHT

Simplest and most trouble-free type of motor ever invented.

It has the most distnctive and gracefully balanced body of any car

in the market.

1.-The Willys-Knight car is the four cylinder motored car that makes the six

unnecessary,

The Knight motor is stes principle. The valves are two cylindrical sleeves with rectangular slots or ports, which when they register with each otlier and the ports in the block allow the ingrese and egress of the gases without alwtraction. These wide open passages, particularly on the exhaust, aide, permit a more thorough cleaning of ther burat jases from the combustion chamber than any other type of motor, so that every ounce of energy available is utilized from the explosive mixture, which gives us such tremenxious power,

2-It has no valve to grind and no carbon to clean.

The coralustion chamber is completely surrounded by water and an alloy platon noted for its great heat radiating qualitier is used so neither the combustion chamber nor the bead of the piston gets hot enough to bake the residue from the exposel gases to form carbon while there is still enough beat maintained to handle the 'uxplosive mixture offectively,

..

3-It is the only type of motor that improves with use.

While carbon can not form in the combustion chamber, still a certab mount of the residue from the barat gases works up behind the whaling ring in the cylinder head and, as this building in process obtains, it keeps Pushing this waling ring more tightly against the inner sleeve until it completely seal the compression chamb developing more power with every mile the motor is drawn.

-It is the only type of motor that wears in while other wears out.

www.

All parts in the Willys-Knight car are assembled with wide clearance between each other and oil in forcel into these clearances unler heavy pressure so that the entire assembly is lapping or wearing in on these heavy films of oil instead of wearing out. Ia ather words, every bearing in this motor is an oil bearing instead of a metal to metal bearing which is necessary in the construction of a poppet valve motor in order to keep it quiet with subsequent quick

wear and noise,

It has eliminatel one hundred and sixty two quick wearing parts necessary in the operation of a cylinberet poppet valve motor. There are no hammering parts such as cams striking against push rods, push rods against valve stens, or valve heads heapping back into their seats throngh the morbum of heavy springs, etc.
