A petition is being circulated for signature by communicant members of the Church of England praying the House of Bishops in the Church Assembly not to authorise any changes in the Prayer Book which would alter the ceremonies, vestments, or prayers used in the service of Holy Communion, or would lead to its being used instead of morning prayer as the ordinary Sunday morning service for congregations who would attend it. rot as coningaicants, but as offerers of a propitiatory suerifice.
